Nate Harrison,
Adult Ministries Pastor

My name is Nathan
Harrison and I have been at East Side for about seven years. I serve
as the Director of Adult Education and in that I oversee: Small Groups,
Grace Institute, Missions, and Sunday morning classes.
The joy of my life is my family, and I have been married to my wife
Lisa for 10 years. We have two great kiddos. Our son's name is Gabriel
(5) and our daughter's is Abigail (2). Lisa and I met at Ashland University.
Where we both were Education Majors, and really involved with the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes and the Adventure Club [a group that went backpacking,
rock climbing, mountain biking, etc.].
I was trained as a campus minister with the international mission's
organization the Navigators 1997-2001. Plus, I received a Masters of
Arts in Christian Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
I also worked as an assistant wrestling coach for the University.
My wife and I love to travel and we both enjoy the outdoors. I also
like to cook and garden, but the way I blow off steam is fitness training.
I also love Ohio State Football, fly fishing, and backpacking.
Media-wise I go through stages and musically I'm presently listening
to Over the Rhine and Pilot Speed. But I also like classic rock such
as CSN and U2.
Movies, I enjoy multiple genres such as historical fiction, some sci-fi,
and action and psychological thrillers. Books are funny things to me
[a love and hate relationship], and I'm constantly reading, but I'm
not technically an avid reader. I'm usually reading several books at
once and seldom finish the ones that I'm reading.
